1 Year Anniversary of Hurricane Maria

On September 20, 2017, thousands of U.S. citizens lost everything they held dear when Hurricane Maria hit the island of Puerto Rico. Some lost their lives and countless others lost family members and cherished possessions. 1 year after Hurricane Maria, U.S. citizens continue to experience tremendous hardship as they are sent back to struggle to survive without electricity, water, access to fresh food, and medicines needed to manage chronic illness.

If it weren’t for the relentless direct action and legal challenges led by brave organizers and families in Massachusetts, Florida and many other states, even more survivors would be homeless today.

Please give $10, $25, $50 or more to show people in Puerto Rico that we see them and we remain united with them in struggle. During times of natural disaster, we know the poor and people of color can easily be left behind. But God values and sees all people. He’s called us to do the same. We appreciate any gift that you can spare. Will you give today?
